Scott Ozanus serves as a member of BPC’s Executive Council on Infrastructure. He is the deputy chairman and chief operating officer of KPMG LLP. With close to 31 years of experience advising clients on tax issues, Ozanus is a recognized leader in his field and trusted business advisor to C-level and board executives around the world. Ozanus compliments his hands-on industry expertise with a reputation for developing insightful and valuable tax options and ideas that cut through the complexity of merger and acquisition taxation.
Ozanus has more than 28 years of public accounting experience, with the last 20 years working with private equity firms and large, privately-owned companies with domestic and international operations. He has extensive experience in such areas as planning and structuring asset and stock acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and public offerings of both start-up and existing companies, for both domestic and international companies.
Ozanus also lends his considerable experience to a number of important charities and community organizations such as The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and The Heart Hospital-Baylor Plano. He serves as a board member of the Cox School of Business and works closely with educational institutions to encourage students to complete their secondary education.
Ozanus earned a degree from Texas A&M University and is a member of the Texas and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
